Ron Poll Funeral
Harry Ronald Poll Ronnie H. Ronald Poll, age 70, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2007 in Murray, Utah. Ron was born December 13, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Maurine V. Poll and the late Harry N. Poll. He married Mary Mazyck September 9, 1963 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ron served an LDS mission to the Central Atlantic States; and was also in the Utah National Guard. He faithfully served in many callings as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He followed in his father's footsteps in Sound Engineering before working on the Mormon Tabernacle Pipe Organ, and later started his own Pipe Organ Business. His accomplishments in building and servicing pipe organs span from the west to the east coasts. He had a great talent and passion for his work and took pride in the joy it brought others. He will be missed but honored in the legacy he leaves behind. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mary Poll; daughters, Marilyn (David) Terry, Rebecca (Brent) Woodruff and Deborah (Charlton) Head; sons, Michael (Cindy) Poll, Matthew (Lindi) Poll, Daniel (Natalie) Poll, Benjamin (Barbara) Poll, Timothy (Lori) Poll and Christopher (Meghan) Poll; mother, Maurine V. Poll; sisters, Judy Hutchings, Nancy Swenson, Rosemary Hawkes, Carole Hoyt and Margie Hawkes; brothers, David Poll, Richard Poll, Stephen Poll and Robert Poll; 19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry N. Poll and grandniece, Forrest Moyer. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 2, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Taylorsville 15th Ward Chapel, 1457 W. Atherton Drive, Taylorsville, Utah. The family will receive friends at a visitation held prior to the service on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Ward.
